Rene Verdult, Milan Heyboer and its younger brother Micha have started to write music in the middle of 90th years.
Rene : " We were making a Techno and BreakBeat, but all this basically was more process of studying. Nothing was released. "
The sound BSE were developed under influence of Gloomy and heavy mood of such labels as No U Turn, Prototype and Virus.
Who are your main influences? What genres of electronic music do you feel have influenced you?
Black Sun Empire: Drumandbass: Ed Rush & Optical, Matrix, Kemal & Rob data, Tech Itch, Stakka & Skynet, Bad Company, C4C... Besides that we listen to a lot of music from pop to rock to hiphop to classical music. But let me name a few of our inspirators: Radiohead, Tricky, SOaD, Portishhead, dEUS, NIN, Underworld, The Orb, Mos Def, Orbital, Aphex Twin, Rawkus, Philip Glass, Tom Waits, Prince, Talib Kwali, Missy Elliot, Nick Cave, FSOL, Primus, Front 242, etc. There is good music in every genre.
The Latest BSE Cruel and Unusual were released in the end of 2005.
Now in 2007 the Black sun Empire have turned their attention to their third album, which this time will be found in the scene at the moment.
